Forbidden City, no more

We are just about to go in this once Forbidden city as second tour attraction of the day after Tienanmun.

This fictitious lion-look alike animal allegedly scare off all the evil spirits.

Once again, we are so lucky to have this gorgeous day in this palace once only allowed for the Emperor!

Dragon means the Emperor!

The Throne!

One palace after the other!

We found another Throne!

Beautiful wall on both side of the gate.

This quater used to be for the concubines.

Nice inscent burner in concubines' quater.

One of many back alley.

As there should not be any tree to grow in the palace, this garden is the only place one could enjoy the flowers and trees.
They would not allow any trees to go over the roof for security reason and also nothing could be higher than the Emperor!

Gazebo (or Pagoda whatever you call it) in the garden

A view from the exit gate.

Just like the castle in Osaka, Japan, this is surrounded by the water for security reason.
We are now heading to the Temple of Heaven as this overnight tour is ending before returning to the ship.
