Jade Buddha Temple has two Jade Buddhas from Burma in 1882
but no photos are allowed to take

Happy Buddha

These scary looking figures are to protect the temple from evil spirits

People donate their money to the temple by purchasing
these roof tile with inscription of their names on

Our tour guide lead us to a Silk factory

The silk store guide was showing us how a larva becomes a cocoon

and how they get a silk thread from cocoons

Showing off how strong silk inlay is for quilt.

Few people in our group actually bought
pillow cases, quilt cover,
scarf and shirts all made of silk.

 Huangpu river and Pudong area
where all the tallest sky scrapers are located in this mega city

One of two cruise terminals for Shanghai
where we docked last time when we visited
by ms Amsterdam 7 years ago.

Queen Mary 2 is too big to cruise into the river and dock here.
We will have to go to Wusongkou ocean terminal to get on board where
it takes about 45 minutes drive by a bus.

Hotel Roof Top Bar with spa jacuzzi.
A couple locals are enjoying their foot spa.

A view of Bund from the top of the hotel

World famous tall buildings such as
Oriental Peal TV Tower, Jin Mao Tower,
Shanghai World Financial Centre (aka Bottle Opener) are down there.

Quite an impressive view of the city from the roof top.

Pudong (Huangpu East) and Puxi (Huangpu West)
