Living in Sydney for more than 20 years,
it is a bit of shame to say it but
this is my first visit to Adelaide,
the capital city of state, South Australia.
From now on, I can tell anyone that I have been
to all the major cities in Australia, proudly. ^^
The cruise ship docked at one of the container terminals
where is about one hour train ride to the city centre.
And the train is the only way to the city except
some passengers who have taken ship's tours.
Tens of mobile ticket sellers were a good idea when
they have 4,300 passengers unloaded from the mega ship.
We bought train tickets at the station
from one of these mobil sellers in no time
and got on a train swiftly.
There is a city tram station when
we got of the main train station in the city.
We wanted to go to seaside neighbourhood Glenelg first,
conveniently, the tram station was right there for us!
We arrived in Glenelg in half an hour
after going through
outskirt suburbs of Adelaide.
We found this little Euro cafe after
leisurely walk around
lovely seaside of Glenelg.
It is one of our favourite dish,
Polish Pierogi.
Yum!
We took a tram back to the city centre and visited
THE market.
Central market.
Probably the cleanest and most European market in whole Australia!
We loved it!
Greg just can't help himself when he sees
European dumplings.
After the Polish pierogi in the morning,
he has to have another one here.
This time, it is Russian Piroshiki.
Of course, there are plenty of Asian eateries as well.
Korean Bibimbab!
We settled with Spanish Tapas for lunch here.
Spanish omelette
White anchovy and mozzarella cheese tapas
Potatoes and Sangria.
We were having a very nice day here in Adelaide so far.
