Haifa, Israel 23Apr14

Haifa is our second port in Israel.

I was looking forward to seeing a garden which
is famous as the biggest hanging garden in the world.
And it's beauty, of course.

There was a complimentary shuttle bus service to the city centre
but it looked quite close from where the ship docked.

We walked to the station for funicular with
Charles, Steve, Jol and Greg.
It was a short ride to the top of the hill.

View of the port from the hill was very nice.
We could see our ship as well as other cruise ship Costa.

We reached the hanging garden after 10 minute walk
while enjoying the view.

The garden was absolutely
spectacular!

Unfortunately, it is closed for maintenance.

We decided to walk down the hill as
we possibly get into the park
around half way down the hill.

Luckily, we were allowed to enter
this small part of the garden
located in the half way down the hill.

I was very happy to take some photos of the garden from the bottom of it.

We spent an hour at the local bottle shop
drinking cold beer and
using their free wi-fi.

I had delicious local falafel for lunch while
the others returned to the ship for late lunch.

It was hard day to walk as it was very hot and humid
but it was worthwhile to see this beautiful garden. ^^
