Labadee, Haiti - Royal Caribbean Cruise 2016

Our first port of three, Labadee, Haiti

This little piece of paradise is well kept from the locals
and well made for tourists only.

Beach deck chairs are abundant and free of charge for passengers.
We got two chairs and a glass of beer.
There are two BBQ buffet set up
on the beach and they are for passengers.
These may not be enough for 6,000 passengers but
what could I possibly ask more?

It can't get better than this.
Who would have thought?
This is one of the poorest country in Caribbean!

Actually this area is set up only for the cruise passengers.
So much so for an experience of local culture! ha!
But this is fun ship anyway.
Just enjoy!

Free ride for some people to the ship.
It was extremely hot and humid day to walk!

Zip line from the top of the hill.

Probably one of the longest zip line in the world?

The view from the deck chair! hh

Gourmet restaurants Izumi, Chops Grill & 150 Central Park, Allure of the seas '16

We purchased a 3 dinner package on the first day when we are on board.
We were going to book ahead on-line but didn't.
We were approached by a sales person
while we were having our first buffet lunch on day one.

We were also able to book three restaurants we wanted to try
so he came in handy.

1,  Izumi Japanese restaurant on board

Fried tempura and squid are not so bad
but sushi and sashimi were horrible.
We were actually deeply disappointed.
Never again.

2, Chops Grill

 Our favourite scallop dish
and mushroom soup were excellent!

 So is steak...
Yum ~~~

3, Restaurant 150 Central Park

This restaurant is located 150 metres from the entrance of the Central Park
that's why it is called 150 Central Park, explained by our friendly waiter. ^^

We have heard great reviews about the food here
from our cruise friends.
So our expectation was very high.
There is no order out of menu so it is degustation style gourmet experience.

It is very elegantly beautiful inside.

Warm bread rolls are to die for.
And 6 different salts from all over the world.

 roasted vegetable salad

 red pepper soup

 ricotta and porcini tortellini

 Halibut

 delicious beef short rib

Nick from Bulgaria now lives in Belarus with his Belarus wife
looked after our table very well.
Two thumbs up for the great service!

 bitter sweet chocolate tart

As expected, we were not disappointed here in 150 Central Park.
Every courses was absolutely delicious!

Overall, service and foods are great on Allure of the seas.
Quite impressive!
I don't know how they do it for more than 6,000 passengers!
